Where I drive, which is my former employer, they're doing the district of innovation. They have lots of meetings and the kids get more time off.

can someone please explain to stud? PLC stands for professional learning community. One of your class periods consists of sitting with your particular department and lesson planning, etc, making common assessments, etc.

It's more of an assurance that all teachers of a particular subject are all on the same page at the same time and test the same concepts.

We are a district of innovation, luckily the header here gets us out of all the meetings..... because he'd rather have practice early, rather than try to get them back to school after giving them 2-4 hours free time

It's more of an assurance that all teachers of a particular subject are all on the same page at the same time and test the same concepts. With the thought process that if a child changes teachers it will all be the same. It's supposed to make everyone a better teacher. Who knows. The D of I aspect is a whole new beast. Bob sounds like an administrator!
