I'm about as interested in this as I am those kids in Florida marching on Washington. Someone seriously asked today if we should let 16 year olds start voting since they are so "mature"...this is the dam same kids that were eating Tide Pods 2 weeks ago.

Because Oklahoma law makers read online petitions. Can Oklahoma law makers even read? Do they even have internet in Oklahoma? All important questions one should ponder when making online petitions.

Teachers need a raise, sure. But if we don't push for better per pupil funding at same time, and we walk out, we look selfish. I say go for regional average increases for both.

I'm not sure what the per pupil is in OK or even TX for that matter...I do know this for a fact...we've turned districts into money machines. We have a surplus of almost 20m and you can barely tell when we get a "raise" because the insurance goes up everytime they give us 3% cost of living increase.
Now, I make a decent enough wage for the amount of effort I put into the "building"...coaching is a something all together different. But I also supplement my income and know anytime I want to tell them to pound sand right now I"m in a position I can...
