Cotten's in Calallen is always solid. I am also a fan of the Original Black's in Lockhart.

Black's in Lockhart is my favorite brisket. Favorite ribs are a toss up between Luling City Market and Cooper's in Llano. Best atmosphere and bang for the buck for me is Salt Lick in Driftwood. Southside Market in Elgin reigns supreme in the sausage category. I'm fat.

Anyone been to Louis Mueller's in Taylor? It's on my short list of places to visit, I've never been. Have not been there, but there used to be a BBQ trailer outside of a gas station in Thrall that was legit. I can not think of the name, but if you go thru Thrall, it is on HWY 79 on the Taylor side.

GTFO of here. Can't really beat the Thursday all you can eat shrimp though that was some of the best chopped brisket to ever come out of costco.... It was very good brisket when it was sprinkled over some curly fries, covered in melty shredded cheese, drizzled with bbq sauce, and sprinkled with bacon bits.
