This is probably pretty stupid but i think it could work:
Cut number of school days to 165, and start school in Jaunary and go straight thru June with Sunday being your only day off. Then schools are closed July through December. Anyone else down for this?? I think it could work.

After lunch 1-3 is elective classes or tutorials for those that don't meet grade requirements. A typical schedule would be: MWF 8-9 math 9-10 English 10-11 social studies 11-12 science 12-1245- lunch 1245- 1 home room 1-2 BIM 2-3 Athletics TTh 8-9 math 9-10 English 10-11 social studies 11-12 science 12-12-45 1245-1 homeroom (announcements and such) 1-2 Spanish 2-3 Athletics Some electives are double blocked so you have them everyday. Some electives are single blocked so you can have up to 4.

If you're a kid that can't cut it grade wise you start losing electives. 1-2 you may be going to intervention. And it's setup with teachers from every discipline available.
If your grades continue to drop you continue to lose elective choices.

I think they should lose electives now if they drop in grades.

In theory, it would save because less kids would fail. You don't have as many repeaters, so they graduate on time. Just a guess.

This.
Also you could make it a four day school week. Friday is a teacher workday/retention day.
You take care of business you don't have to be at school. You don't take care of business it is mandatory you are there.
