National radio and TV personalities for days have been stating their opinion about the question "Is Sam Bradford the biggest NFL bust? Ryan Leaf's name always comes up, but they are saying Sam was a #1 pick and Leaf was a #2 pick. They're also saying Sam is the biggest bust because he has made the most money and given the least in returns.

If he just didn't pan out because of bad play, I'd agree. The injuries are such a major factor that I don't think this is correct.

He hasnt had a great OL to play behind. He is the modern day Jim Plunkett.

If he just didn't pan out because of bad play, I'd agree. The injuries are such a major factor that I don't think this is correct. His career ain't over. To call him the biggest bust is quite a stretch. The Rams never gave him a chance to be successful. He had a different OC every year. He never had any protection either.

Considering he has thrown for over 3,500 yards 3 times in 5 years, and was having good years when he got hurt I would say no. Especially considering he has not had a ton of help in either place. The Eagles could not run the ball, and the receivers were atrocious. I agree with KW, Sam is far from done.

Sam isn't even in the conversation of the top bust. Tony Mandarich is probably #1 in my humble opinion. Taken #2 in 1989 behind Troy Aikman but before Barry Sanders, Dion Sanders, Derrick Thomas, Steve Atwater, Eric Metcalf, and Andre Rison. Gone in 3 years without making any considerable contribution.

Think he came back after he left and played a while...watched a deal over him...he was an average Olineman for the Skins I think...

I looked him up. Did have a couple of decent years with the Colts. 1996 and 1998. Still to be drafted #2 and be in the conversation with those other guys is nuts! Big time bust!

Bradford signed an enormous six-year, $78 million contract, with $50 million guaranteed, Bradford will have made more than $78.0 million by the end of the 2015 season, his sixth in the NFL. 25-37-1 was 18-30-1 before he had a 7-7 year
