Two of our guys on staff do this. One does it as a lifestyle and he's an overall fitness guru guy. Writes blogs, has a following, does ultra marathons. All around nut. The other dude came out of college pretty heavy from being bulked as a lineman. He used it to drop that weight and he has changed drastically from August to now. Long story short, it works for them.

From what they've said it puts your body into that magical state of ketosis so that you're creating the ketones yourself, rather than the magical drink people are selling now. You pick an 8 hour window where you eat, the other 16 hours you fast.

I'm doing a version of the Paleo plan. Not the strict version. I'll be gone a lot for tournaments, on a limited budget for meals, so my philosophy is 'if I can hunt it or gather it, I can eat it'. It working; I'm down 9 pounds in a week. Cutting out beer helps the most.

Lunch today is 2 pieces of smoked/grilled deer backstrap and zuch/squash that was grilled.

Any of y’all ever looked into this? Dude, just workout and get most of your calories from beer. Fad diets are stupid. i do workout. It’s 20% the workout and 80% eating. Why workout hard and waste it by eating terrible. Do what you can to get the most out of it.

I eat pretty clean. Very few processed foods, a lot of fresh veggies and wild game, my wife and I cook our dinners and eat at home 99% of the time and I take left overs to school for lunch probably a good 90% of the time. My thing is I really really like beer. Not a problem, it’s just my thing.

Today's menu, so far, has been Plain greek yogurt with a spoonful of natural peanut butter for brefass, a handful of mixed almonds, roasted pumpkin seeds, and roasted peanuts, some grilled zuch/squash, and one piece of grilled deer backstrap. I'll have another handful of the mixed nuts later before dinner. Maybe a grilled chicken salad for dinner. I'm down 7.4 pounds in a week.

I had a patty melt for dinner last night... only medium fries though.
Turns out cutting back on fries can make a difference. Down .23 pounds from yesterday.

Better than mine. Breakfast was two boiled eggs. Lunch was egg salad and two baybel cheese's .
