I don't know how much it really matters, OSSAA is going to do whatever they want anyways.

How has the turnout been to this recently? The last winter clinic I went to was about 5 yrs ago, and the attendance was disappointing so I haven't been back since.

Last year attendance wasn't bad. I really like Winter Clinic more than the Summer. Seems to be better speakers, if that is what you are going for.

Will prob. be the last one at Shawnee this year. More than likely going to go in the direction of OU from here on out on the winter clinic.

Well, what are some? Let's get a discussion going...... Have u not been getting the emails? 3 are basically go back like it was One says throw the top 2 out and divide by 6 for classification placement And then the others are a version of 32 teams per class Or once playoffs start go Divison 1 and 2 for each class There was one that had the classes no more then a 30 percent difference in biggest and smallest school. Of course this didn't count broken arrow and union

Attendance was up last year in Shawnee. I think the interesting part will be to see if the coaches can get somewhat of a consensus on which plan to get behind. Without this, you are right, the OSSAA will do whatever, but I think if we are united behind a plan that makes sense to all the primary stakeholders of the decision, they will have to listen. Is there a plan that anyone has seen that they like?

OU came in with a proposal about hosting our Winter clinic and basically doing away with their clinic. Basically that would host and obviously speak and then bring in others to speak as well. I was something came in with Spurrier Jr. that they did at SC. Have also mentioned getting OSU and Tulsa involved and maybe rotating the clinic between them, but as of right now just OU.

Several of them have only 1 class of 8 man. Thoughts?

Seems like that could be a good idea, if they do it the right way!

They aren't going to try and turn it into a Nike clinic?

6A Division I and Division II – Top 32 Teams • Go back to a combined 6A for district games. • The top 4 make the playoffs • The two with the highest enrollment go to the D1 Playoffs • The two with the smallest enrollment go to the DII Playoffs o A split is needed in 6A because of the large discrepancy in enrollment. 5A – 32 Teams • No split in 5A 4A – 32 Teams • No split in 4A 3A – 64 Teams • 8 Districts • The top 4 make the playoffs • The two with the highest enrollment go to the D1 Playoffs • The two with the smallest enrollment go to the DII Playoffs o A split is needed in 3A because of the size of the class. This split makes 3A have only 4 rounds in the playoffs. 2A – 64 Teams • 8 Districts • The top 4 make the playoffs • The two with the highest enrollment go to the D1 Playoffs • The two with the smallest enrollment go to the DII Playoffs o A split is needed in 2A because of the size of the class. This split makes 2A have only 4 rounds in the playoffs. A – 64+ Teams • 8 Districts • Class A will be the leftover class like it is now • The top 4 make the playoffs • The two with the highest enrollment go to the D1 Playoffs • The two with the smallest enrollment go to the DII Playoffs o A split is needed in A because of the size of the class. This split makes A have only 4 rounds in the playoffs. B – 48 Teams (8-Man) • No split in B
To explain the bracket for the classes splitting after district play: • The top 4 teams in each district go to the playoffs • Out of the top 4 teams the two with the highest enrollment go D1 while the two with the lowest enrollment go D2. • Out of the two teams that go D1 whoever finished higher in district play is the 1 seed while the other is the 2 seed. • Out of the two teams that go D2 whoever finished higher in district play is the 1 seed while the other is the 2 seed.
This is the one I like. But I may be a little biased as well.

Yep, it could save us some $ on not having to pay for the OU clinic, unless the Winter clinic is going to start charging?
