6A Division I and Division II – Top 32 Teams • Go back to a combined 6A for district games. • The top 4 make the playoffs • The two with the highest enrollment go to the D1 Playoffs • The two with the smallest enrollment go to the DII Playoffs o A split is needed in 6A because of the large discrepancy in enrollment. 5A – 32 Teams • No split in 5A 4A – 32 Teams • No split in 4A 3A – 64 Teams • 8 Districts • The top 4 make the playoffs • The two with the highest enrollment go to the D1 Playoffs • The two with the smallest enrollment go to the DII Playoffs o A split is needed in 3A because of the size of the class. This split makes 3A have only 4 rounds in the playoffs. 2A – 64 Teams • 8 Districts • The top 4 make the playoffs • The two with the highest enrollment go to the D1 Playoffs • The two with the smallest enrollment go to the DII Playoffs o A split is needed in 2A because of the size of the class. This split makes 2A have only 4 rounds in the playoffs. A – 64+ Teams • 8 Districts • Class A will be the leftover class like it is now • The top 4 make the playoffs • The two with the highest enrollment go to the D1 Playoffs • The two with the smallest enrollment go to the DII Playoffs o A split is needed in A because of the size of the class. This split makes A have only 4 rounds in the playoffs. B – 48 Teams (8-Man) • No split in B To explain the bracket for the classes splitting after district play: • The top 4 teams in each district go to the playoffs • Out of the top 4 teams the two with the highest enrollment go D1 while the two with the lowest enrollment go D2. • Out of the two teams that go D1 whoever finished higher in district play is the 1 seed while the other is the 2 seed. • Out of the two teams that go D2 whoever finished higher in district play is the 1 seed while the other is the 2 seed. This is the one I like. But I may be a little biased as well. Nobody complained really when only 2a and A were playing 5 rounds

One of the arguments from the small school guys is playing 5 rounds in the playoffs. Problem we are going to have is each individual is going to look at how it effects just them and not what is best for Oklahoma football over all. That is why I think it will be hard to get united behind a single plan.

Nobody complained really when only 2a and A were playing 5 rounds Well the argument about the 5 rounds was made from the guys having to play it and it makes sense. 6A 1 and 2 are only 3 rounds with way more depth and players. While 3 and down are having to go 5 rounds. I have been there and gone 5 rounds, it is a beeotch, even if you are really talented.

I agree with your statement, but that it what it is going to take to get it changed. I think having discussions like here in this forum and at the clinic are imperative to start the conversation before it gets to nut cutting time and everyone goes caveman and only supports what is good for them.

Remember the OFBCA clinic is free to all members. Last year was our first year to have in Shawnee, and the feedback we received was tremendous. We need all members to participate in this clinic! As attendance increases, so does participation from vendors! This year we will be giving away an iPad, 2 40" TV's, a Yeti cooler, and several other items....Don't be apathetic, be there and help our organization grow!

It is basically the Texas model. Top 4 of district makes playoffs. Then the two with the highest enrollment go to Large and Smallest go small. Say Then you are #1 or #2 seed by how high you finished in district.

So you only play one game to decide a state title?? Where does everyone else go??

So in the above plan we go from having 9 state champions to 11. Is that too much?

So who do u play?? That's what I'm not understanding. The 2 biggest go D1? What does that mean? Do they play each other and the winner is the state champ and all the others play games in the playoffs??

Only 2a and A will use this plan I would be for this in all classes If there was 48 plus in each class
