I don't think anyone said you can't have an opinion. However, you are not offering any suggestions to rectify the situation. I'm not sure there are any great solutions. There's nothing that's going to fix things for all classes. Someone is always going to feel like they are getting screwed. Unfortunately. That is the problem. Until we as a group stop looking at just how it effects us individually, we will have the same problems. We need to start looking at what is best for our sport in this state. There is no good answer for 6A. However, there are some things that could be done with the smaller classes, but it is going to take some unity and a long fight to get it done. BTW I was hearing that BA is going to Split their High School. Any truth to that from you east side guys?

What I read was their long range plan is to split into 2 schools within 5 or 6 years and 3 schools by 2030.

I am with Kenny on that one. I'm not trying to take digs at anyone. I don't think there are any good solutions with the OSSAA being the final say. There were a lot of really great proposals coaches put together in December. I read them all. I felt like this one was the worst option for classes A and 2A. There are some things being worked. This proposal was made, because the small school guys, that are talking with the OFBCA wanted this proposal. Now I can tell you some things are being formed to blow up our entire classification system, however it is going to take time and perseverance. One of the big disconnects was the stuff went from the OFBCA to the AD's, but it was the OSSAA presenting this information and that was a problem. We are working to get someone from the AD board at our meetings and some from the OFBCA board to the AD meetings. That will help.

Do you truly think the OSSAA cares at all what the OFBCA wants? Not trying to be a smartace. I really want your opinion.

How do the ADs and the OFBCA get along?

How do the ADs and the OFBCA get along? The problem has been when we make a proposal it goes to the AD's first. However, the AD's are not in our meetings and we are not in the AD's meetings. So OSSAA is the one presenting our proposals. So any questions about any of our stuff is being answered by the OSSAA. See some of it is that the OSSAA is controlling it at the AD level before it even gets to the OSSAA board. Plus all we are being told is the ADs voted it down. No reasons as to why or any of the what went on with the discussions.

I'm inclined to think that most of Class A and 2A will vote no on this proposal. If this doesn't pass, don't expect to get any help/change from the OSSAA for years to come. When have we ever received help from the OSSAA?!?!? Was it like the time that we went to the finals in 2012 and hosted 3 straight playoff games and the Association made $40,000 and we lost money traveling to the Semis and Stillwater? Help like that? Bottom line, Class A will go back to being a dumping ground. It's not a big deal, we are used to it. Just don't get your panties in a bunch when you hear people say they don't want to vote for it.

She then comes back and says dad said no with zero explanation.

Maybe less complaining from football coaches would yield better results from the OSSAA. Just a thought.

Or the Guthrie debacle Or the Shawnee debacle Or the time they wouldn't help pay for our road trip from McAlester to Lawton Mac...

Or the "hey you HAVE to use this football" debacle?
I applaud you guys on the front line and what you're doing for our sport but I couldn't deal with the OSSAA much. I would get into trouble.

I think they do a great job. Just saying. Except the football thing, but that was caused by the kickback for gambling situation, wasn't it?
